La mesure de la pauvreté qui est généralement effectuée sur une base quantitative par le biais d'indices. Occulte de l'analyse des facteurs qualitatifs pouvant être fortement significatifs .l'objet de cet article porte sur l'utilisation d'un modèle LOGIT/ Probit pour mieux quantifier la pauvreté. L'objectif consiste à déterminer la probabilité qu'un ménage est pauvre ou non -pauvre, en associant les caractéristiques aussi bien quantitatives que qualitatives des ménages. Les résultats montrent que la probabilité qu’un ménage est pauvre peut être associée à des Facteurs qualitatifs.
