ISLAMIC BANKING FINANCE AND ITS ROLE IN SUPPORTING THE ACTIVITY OF SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES - ICD CASE STUDY

Abstract

slamic banking finance has played a fundamental role in economic life, as it has been able to achieve what conventional bank financing has not been able to achieve especially with regard to supporting the activity of SMEs. We aimed through this study to identify the various financing methods and modes adopted by Islamic banks in order to support the activities of SMEs by showing its developmental role. The spotlight was also on the ICD as one of the organizations active in financing and supporting the work of this type of institution, by getting to know its contributions and developmental programs that aim to achieve these goals. Depending on the descriptive and analytical approach, the study concluded that there are several methods that enable institutions to obtain their various financing and advisory needs, the ICD seeks to establish partnerships with Islamic banking and non-banking financial institutions with the aim of encouraging the investment of SMEs in qualified projects with financial feasibility and developmental components.
