Intérêt de la chirurgie parodontale préorthodontique : analyse clinique et implications thérapeutiques

Résumé
L’ interrelation entre la discipline orthodontique et parodontale n’est plus à démontrer. Pour qu’un traitement orthodontique soit réaliser dans les meilleurs conditions, il est essentiel de respecter un parcours coordonné entre l’orthodontiste et le parodontiste. L’intégration de la chirurgie parodontale dans la phase préparatoire des traitements orthodontiques constitue un levier thérapeutique essentiel pour optimiser les résultats esthétiques et fonctionnels, sans causer des dommages irréversibles aux dents et aux tissus parodontaux. Cet article met en lumière l’intérêt de recourir à des interventions parodontales avant le début du traitement orthodontique, en s’appuyant sur une série de cas cliniques représentatifs.
