Peer Review Process
All articles submitted to the journal are peer-reviewed by at least two reviewers. The editor-in-chief sends the article to the section editor, who in turn sends it to two reviewers specializing in the subject matter. Thesection editor is responsible for monitoring the review process.
JNDDL journal follows a peer review model based on four essential elements as defined by the International Association of Medical Science Editors , namely:
Identity: The journal adopts a double-blind review process between reviewers and authors, while the
identity of both is clear to the section editor and the editor-in-chief.
Reviewer Communication: Reviewers can communicate with the editor-in-chief orsection editor to obtain additional information that assist in the review. They can also contact another reviewer for consultation or to seek their opinion on the review process, provided that this is indicated before submitting the final report to the author.
If a reviewer suspects plagiarism, undisclosed conflicts of interest, or research misconduct, they should
contact the ethics committee chair.
Reviewers are not permitted to communicate with the author in any way.
Review’s post-publication information: The journal will publish a summary of the reviews, which will help authors prepare their research papers and avoid mistakes made by their peers. Also, publishing a summary of the reviews helps reviewers in their review process of studies.
Post-publication Comments: The editor-in-chief may allow or invite comments on published studies
