La prise en charge psychologique des enfants avec surdité : accompagnement familial

Deafness in Algeria is a reality. It is on an increasing curve. It is taking on alarming proportions. Every year there are new cases of people suffering from hearing loss. Hence, the commitment of the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security to follow very closely the care of categories with specific needs and in particular, the care of the hearing aid in Algeria.
Early detection of hearing loss in infants and young children plays a crucial role in ensuring optimal growth and development. Primary prevention eliminates half of the cases of deafness and hearing loss.
Psychological support for the implanted child and in particular family support is essential in all cases during diagnosis, initial treatment and follow-up.
