The effectiveness of a counseling program to develop motivation for achievement among deaf and hard of hearing children at the Al Amal Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Tripoli

Objective: This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of a behavioral counseling program in enhancing achievement motivation among deaf and hard-of-hearing children, and to examine the sustainability of its impact over time.
Methode: the sample consisted of 30 children attending the Al-Amal Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Tripoli, the study employed an experimental design and utilized both an achievement motivation test and the behavioral counseling program as primary tools, Data were analyzed using various statistical methods, including means, standard deviations, Pearson correlation, Cronbach's alpha, t-tests, Mann-Whitney, and Wilcoxon tests.
Result: the results revealed statistically significant differences in favor of the experimental group in the post-test, indicating the program's effectiveness. Moreover, no significant differences were found between the post-test and follow-up test scores within the experimental group, suggesting that the program's effects were sustained over time.
